We are concerned with the interaction and integration between demand forecasting inventory control, in context of supply chain operations. The majority literature is fragmented. Forecasting research more often than not assumes to be an end itself, disregarding any subsequent stages computation that needed transform forecasts into replenishment decisions. Conversely, most contributions theory assume (and its parameters) known, effect preceding computation. Explicit recognition these shortcomings important step towards realistic theoretical developments, but still particularly helpful unless they somehow addressed. Even then, constitute exogenous variables serially feed a stock control model.
